Purple Rose is a distinctive small cultivar of Wuyi Rock Tea, selectively bred by the Tea Research Institute of Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Its maternal parent is Tieguanyin (Iron Goddess of Mercy) Tea, and its paternal parent is Huangjin Gui (Golden Osmanthus) Tea. It was formerly known as “Silver Tieguanyin.”
