The raw materials for Golden Leaf produced by Bainian Shanhao White Tea are harvested from wild tea trees that are decades to over a hundred years old. After the tea trees’ winter dormancy, the mild climate sometimes “tricks” the trees into producing early buds, which are then carefully harvested and processed into tea. Because these trees grow naturally in the wild over long periods, the leaves are highly nutrient-rich.
Aged Golden Leaf is suitable for both brewing and decoction. The liquor is bright yellow and translucent, with a refreshing chill on the palate, a lingering cool-sweet aroma, and a uniquely distinctive flavor that sets it apart from other white teas.

Aged Golden Leaf Tea
Sunset Dyes the Leaves Fragrance Fills the Cup
Sunset glows, leaves tinged with gold,
Cranes in sky, wild geese homeward told.
Essence gathered, nature’s gift revealed,
Fragrance rises, sweetness in the cup unsealed.
Aged Golden Leaf Tea, also known as Winter Oolong Tea, is prized for its beautiful yellow-green leaves and a rich waxy coating, giving them the appearance of amber-encased golden leaves.
