Bainian Shanhao was founded during the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty by the Wu family of Changqi Village. All white tea materials are sourced exclusively from the Changqi ancient village and Yuantan Village in Guanyang Township, both located within the Taimu Mountain range.

These tea-growing areas lie at elevations between 600 and 800 meters above sea level. Benefiting from well-preserved natural ecosystems and a pristine, picturesque environment, the region produces white tea leaves of exceptional quality.
