Orchid Aroma Uplifted

Majesty in Full Bloom

The name “Zhuye” (Bamboo Leaf) comes from the tea leaves’ slender, elongated shape, which resembles bamboo leaves. It is renowned for its sharp and long-lasting orchid-like Aroma, and is therefore also known as the “King of Orchid Aroma.” Legend has it that this cultivar is a descendant of the “Song Tea” named by the emperor of the Southern Song Dynasty, and it is widely regarded as the king among Phoenix Dancong teas.

Grown in mineral-rich red soil, the tea produces a liquor with an elegant and enduring aroma, carrying subtle notes of gardenia. The taste is mellow and pure, refreshing on the palate, full of character, and followed by a long, lingering sweetness.

The dry leaves are tightly twisted, dark black with yellowish-brown hues, and appear slender like bamboo upon closer inspection. The brewed tea is bright orange-yellow, with a delicate orchid fragrance rising from the cup. It tastes crisp, sweet, and refreshing, bringing a sense of clarity and delight to the spirit.
